Built in 1991 and managed by The Four Seasons since 2005, The Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi is a five-star, five diamond resort on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lānaʻi. Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi is committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on the local community. The development of our Four Seasons For Good team refreshes our long term commitments and drives our future environmental and social initiatives.

- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations available for guest use
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items available
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Reef Friendly Landscaping Program Gold Certified by the Maui Nui Marine Resource Council, highlighting our strong commitment to protecting our marine ecosystem

- Water conserving TOTO Washlets installed throughout our Resort
- All guest rooms have efficient water fixtures, including shower heads and faucets
- Waterless flush urinals installed across restrooms in public areas
- Water-efficient landscaping and golf course management
WASTE REDUCTION
- Elimination of single-use plastic bathroom amenities
- Guests receive complimentary insulated refillable bottles (two maximum per room) to use at FloWater drinking water refill stations located around our Resort
- Worn linens and towels converted into housekeeping cleaning cloths
- Soaps and toiletries recycled and donated to our partner Clean the World
- Used cooking oil collected by a local partner and converted into biofuel off-site to power construction equipment
SUSTAINABLE FOOD AND BEVERAGE
- Over 75% of our food and beverage ingredients are sourced from local farmers, fisheries and purveyors
- Produce sourced from on-island Sensei Farms, which grows in indoor solar-powered hydroponic greenhouses
- Food waste reduction program in place
- Cage-free eggs
BIODIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION
- Waters off our coast have been declared a Marine Reserve to promote resilience in our reef
- Complimentary reef-friendly sun care products available for guests
- Resort participates in botanical preservation project to reintroduce ʻāwikiwiki, a federally endangered perennial vine, to the Mānele area
- Resort has Arboretum Accreditation by the Morton Register of Arboreta, recognizing professional standards and capabilities in a shared purpose to plant and conserve trees and advance goals specific to tree-focused public gardens
COMMUNITY
- Love Lānaʻi Cultural Advisors and Cultural Practitioner and Historian offer programming including tours, demonstrations and cultural experiences where guests can explore Lānaʻi’s bio-cultural landscape and experience the island’s unique spirit and historical legacy, spanning nearly 1,000 years of Hawaiian residency
- Lānaʻi Observatory provides educational programming for local students and community members as well as internship opportunities for Hawaiian students
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the local community through fundraising and participation in local charitable events, island clean-ups and conservation projects
PURCHASING PRACTICES
- The kukui (candlenut) used in our bath amenity collection was collected locally from the bountiful ʻāina (land) of Hawaiʻi
- Use of regionally sourced, mineral-based and cruelty-free spa products
- Focus on partnering with sustainable suppliers for resort purchasing and products
- Suppliers are encouraged to reduce unnecessary packaging
