Captain Zodiac

Captain Zodiac has been a trusted presence in Hawai‘i’s waters since its founding on Kaua‘i in 1974, eventually establishing its roots on the Kona Coast. As a family-run, women-owned business, we have embraced a strong environmental ethos under the leadership of our current owner.

As stewards of the land and sea, we are committed to educating our guests about the importance of living pono—to act with integrity and in harmony with the environment. Our journey toward sustainability began with reducing single-use plastics and has since grown to include regular beach cleanups, ocean debris removal, coral restoration and annual carbon offsetting through our partnership with Carbon Buddy. We are proud supporters of the Waikōloa Dry Forest Initiative, contributing to the purchase of native trees to help restore 275 acres of native-dominant forest and promote long-term conservation efforts.
